Last Saturday, the Wheels for the World team met in their Aldershot warehouse to finalise the arrangements for their Kumi visit in February. We had a video link to Hannah in USA, Peter in Australia and Michael in Kenya so we have all met each other. For some, it is their first trip and others who have been on trips before.
Lynne, David and I went in her traveller with the back stacked to the last spare inch with wheelchairs and mobility aids that Chris (my husband) had collected. It was a long drive but well worth it as now we are ready for action.
My big news is that the container has finally been released from the Kampala authorities after a few hitches but all’s well that ends well. It could well be on its way to Kumi Hospital in the next few days where it will be emptied into the workshop store room to await distribution.
