Andrew

lmw218

We first met Andrew in a tiny village on day 7. The family had had concerns that he wasn't walking and wanted him to be assessed. Having spent time with him the therapists decided that it would be good for him to attend the clinic the following day at the hospital. They also spent time encouraging the rest of the family to get involved interacting with him more as well as supporting and helping him to move around.

Once at the hospital it was great, as you can see in the video, he took so quickly to his new walking aid, a Kaye walker. He had never walked before so it was quite something to see him do this for the first time, and he was very keen to keep moving. His t-shirt as you can see says it all. Andrew was also measured for Pedro boots which will support the arches of his feet as they grow stronger over the next year or two.
